SUMMARY:
General assistance and support to the Health and Safety Manager, ensuring safe practice on all sites
controlled Marisco, Ltd.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide general support and assistance to the Health and Safety Manager.
Assist the Health and Safety Manager with Health and Safety monitoring activities.
Assist the Health and Safety Manager with the management of fire safety throughout the buildings.
Assist in Health and Safety audits and produce audit reports and follow up any actions.
Provide clerical support to the Health and Safety Committee and Safety Manager.
Assist the Health and Safety Manager to maintain and coordinate training.
Review and record checks on all fire exits, fire and fire equipment, and fire signs.
Review relevant safety signage.
Review and record the First Aid and spill kit provision at work sites.
Assist with Coordinating, scheduling, and participating in site inspections with Insurance companies, government agencies and regulatory bodies and report findings to management.
Assist with managing the Safety and Health operating budget to include equipment purchases, training and material purchases.
Assist manager with updating Safety and Occupational Health policies and procedures, ensuring they are accurate, current, and reflect the latest Regulatory, Industry, and Company standards and requirements.
Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager

REQUIRED SKILL AND EDUCATION:
• Minimum requirement: High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related safety industry
clerical or assistant experience.
• Knowledge in OSHA regulations preferred but not required.
• First Aid to include CPR/AED is preferred but not required.
• Requires use of conceptual and innovative thinking (i.e., identifying solutions).
• Developed communication skills to exchange complex information.
• Computer capable to include MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
During ship board and shop inspections one may be exposed to hot and cold temperatures.
Frequently required to stand, sit, reach, bend, climb, walk, and climb into and out of confined spaces and
climb ladders and stairs.
